Default Stocking

I have a 20g tank and want to stock it with guppys and neon tetra bet I'm not sure how many of each fish will fit without over crouding? I also want a mystery snail.

well if you go guppies go all female or all male, otherwise you will be inundated with fry. least thats what I ve learned on here, I ve bever had guppies.

i think a mystery snail and a nice size shoal of neon tetras would be amazing! with driftwood and java fern, sand substrate, beauty!

I ve seen pics of 20 longs with shoals of neon tetras..amazingly beautiful.

Better yet go with all males if you don't want fry. Chances are the females may already be preggo when you get them. Not sure about guppies, but I know with my platys, they can hold sperm for months and will have fry when they want to LOL NOT a good thing when you aren't planning on breeding them!

Well, the males are prettier anyway and usually easier to find.

I think you should get 1 mystery snail, 5 or more neon tetras and 3 or 4 male guppies. That would be beautiful! I prefer getting male guppies though because the females at the pet store can sometimes already be pregnant.
